enesis (EWBG) crucially relies on the presence of new physics which is nee
ded to generate the first-order electroweak phase transition and a suffici
ent amount of CP violation. In most of the previously analysed models of E
WBG\, the electroweak phase transition happens at temperatures of about 10
0 GeV\, and the associated new physics has to be correspondingly light. Th
e latter fact often leads to conflicts with experimental data. I will disc
uss a mechanism leading to high-temperature breaking of the electroweak sy
mmetry by virtue of new fermions\, which changes the typical temperatures
of EWBG and increases the mass scales of the associated new physics. I wil
l also analyse the phenomenological implications of this mechanism in a co
ncrete model of electroweak baryogenesis in the composite Higgs framework.
