DESCRIPTION:A famous conjecture in complex geometry predicts that the \nex
 istence of Kaehler metrics with special curvature properties on a \nprojec
 tive manifold can be characterized by an algebro-geometric \nstability not
 ion\, K-stability. In this talk\, we generalize this picture \nby taking i
 nto account the additional data of a first order deformation \nof the mani
 fold\, which plays the role of a Higgs field for the category \nof Kaehler
  manifolds. We will then prove a version of the appropriately \ngeneralize
 d stability conjecture in the context of toric manifolds.
