DESCRIPTION:Several techniques have recently been developed to simulate ph
otoplethysmogram (PPG) signals\, providing data with which to develop PPG
signal processing algorithms\, and providing insight into the physiologica
l origins of the signal. This webinar will feature talks from researchers
who have developed complementary techniques to simulate PPG signals. It wi
ll provide a comprehensive overview of the state-of-the-art\, and highligh
t pressing directions for future research.\n\n- Andrius Solosenko (Kaunas
University of Technology) will present on modelling photoplethysmogram sig
nals during atrial fibrillation.\n\n- Cheng Ding (Emory University) will p
resent a novel approach to simulating PPG signals using generative adversa
rial networks.\n\n- Dr James May (City\, University of London) will presen
t on in vitro simulation of photoplethysmography signals.\n\n- Dr Jordi Al
astruey-Arimon (King’s College London) will present on the role of in si
lico pulse wave databases in machine learning-based pulse wave analysis.
