DESCRIPTION:Cambridge University Engineering Department invites you to cel
 ebrate the world famous bridges of the river Cam and the progress in Engin
 eering over the last 800 years.  \n\nCamBridge will be launched with two e
 vening lectures on Friday 6 March 2009 at 6.30pm and 7.45pm.  The first le
 cture given by Dr Chris Burgoyne will use the Cambridge bridges to examine
  the history of the science of bridges and describe the role these bridges
  have played in the development of the city of Cambridge over the last 800
  years.  The second lecture given by Dr Cam Middleton will explore the sta
 te of the art in bridge design and future developments.  The lectures are 
 suitable for ages 11+.\n\n
