  the term\, which will take place on Tuesday\, the 8th of March. Wine\, ch
 eese\, and other refreshments will be served in the Lubbock Room at Peterh
 ouse from 8:30 pm for an 8:45 pm start. Professor Charlotte Summers\, who 
 leads the COVID-19 critical care surge response at Addenbrooke’s\, will 
 be speaking on the subject of “Learning From Pandemics.”\n \nSPEAKER B
 IOGRAPHY:\nDr. Charlotte Summers is a Professor of Intensive Care Medicine
  and Director of Clinical Academic Training at the University of Cambridge
 . She is co-leader of the Peri-operative\, Acute\, Critical Care and Emerg
 ency Medicine (PACE) Section at Addenbrooke’s Hospital\, and Chief Inves
 tigator of HEAL-COVID\, an NIHR funded “Urgent Public Health clinical tr
 ial of national importance.” Dr. Summers graduated in both Biomedical Sc
 iences and Medicine from the University of Southampton\, and later underto
 ok a PhD at the University of Cambridge investigating the role of inflamma
 tion on the pulmonary transit kinetics of human neutrophils\, alongside sp
 ecialist clinical training in Respiratory and Intensive Care Medicine.  Sh
 e was subsequently appointed as the UK’s first NIHR Clinical Lecturer in
  Intensive Care Medicine\, and went on to be awarded a Fulbright All-disci
 plines Scholar Award and a Wellcome Trust Fellowship for Postdoctoral Clin
 ician Scientists. \n\nCOVID -19 POLICY : If attending in-person\, we encou
 rage you to test for COVID-19 by lateral flow on the day\, and ask that yo
 u not attend if you have a positive result. We also encourage the use of f
 ace coverings whilst not eating or drinking. In addition\, we strongly rec
 ommend attendees to have completed their full course of COVID-19 vaccines
