DESCRIPTION:All are invited to a mini-symposium to explore special issues 
 that women may face in pursuing a successful career in science and related
  endeavours.  \n\nThe afternoon will comprise informal talks by a number o
 f female scientists at different career stages\, and includes both bench s
 cientists and women whose careers have used science in different ways incl
 uding science communication and science careers advice.  After approximate
 ly an hour and half of presentation and discussion\, we warmly welcome you
  to join us for tea\, cakes and networking in the Postgraduate Lounge of t
 he Clinical School.  This event is suitable not only for female students a
 nd post-docs. but also for male scientists\, who may be interested in thes
 e issues and how they may affect  partners/families either now or in the f
 uture.\n\n\n
