DESCRIPTION:The class of p-permutation modules is omnipresent in the modul
 ar representation theory of finite groups. They are\, for&nbsp\;example\, 
 elementary building pieces of several types of equivalences between block 
 algebras &ndash\; source-algebra equivalences\, Morita equivalences with e
 ndo-permutation source\, splendid Rickard equivalences\, or p-permutation 
 equivalences &ndash\; and essential to their understanding.\nThe aim of th
 is talk is to review several results obtained in the past two years toward
 s concrete classifications of such modules for specific types of blocks or
  groups.
