DESCRIPTION:Throwing our rubbish into holes in the ground has been a conve
 nient and cheap way of disposing of it\, but these holes\, landfill sites\
 , are full to near (or at) capacity. And some landfill sites are located i
 n areas which could be better used for other purposes. And people have sta
 rted to think about whether there could be some value to be extracted from
  the contents of landfill sites.  I have investigated the drivers\, econom
 ics and logistics of mining landfill sites\, and will be presenting some c
 onclusions in this talk.
