 joined by Indro Mukerjee who took on the role of Chief Executive of Innova
 te UK last year at a time when innovation is being recognised as a key dri
 ver of the UK’s post-pandemic growth strategy. Critical to the delivery 
 of the government’s innovation strategy\, he has been tasked with transi
 tioning Innovate UK from a grant funding body to an agency focused on driv
 ing economic growth.\n\nIndro Mukerjee is an experienced CEO with board-le
 vel leadership experience in publicly listed\, corporate multinational\, n
 ew venture and private equity backed fast-moving technology and industrial
  companies.\n\nPreviously CEO of Watchstone Group plc - brought in by inst
 itutions to stabilise and reshape a high-profile company operating in insu
 rance\, telematics and healthcare software and services\; Plastic Logic pl
 c - restructured major venture capital-backed disruptive electronics compa
 ny and created FlexEnable Ltd. spin out\; C-MAC MicroTechnology Ltd. – p
 rivate equity backed LBO from which he built and sold three successful hig
 h technology companies operating in aerospace/defence\, automotive and com
 munications markets.\n\nIndro’s main corporate leadership experience was
  based in the Netherlands with Philips (now NXP) Semiconductors BV\, where
  he held several global board positions\, including Executive Vice Preside
 nt – Global Marketing & Sales\, Chief Marketing Officer and CEO of the A
 utomotive and Contactless ID/Smart Card Businesses. Most of his time was s
