DESCRIPTION:The advent of parallel computing technology has opened great a
 venues to simulate physical\,\nchemical and biological processes of scient
 ific interest that were difficult a decade ago. Results\nfrom these simula
 tions will help us to understand the intricacies involved at a fundamental
  level\,\nthereby enabling us to better design or control these processes.
  However\, to harvest the full\npotentials and benefits of massively paral
 lel computers a good level of competence is required on\nparallel and high
  performance programming in addition to the relevant scientific knowledge.
 \nTwo training courses will be run by Numerical Algorithm Group (NAG) at E
 ngineering\nDepartment\, Cambridge University on:\n1. “Introduction to F
 ortran 95” on\n18th and 19th of May\, 2009\n2. “Introduction to MPI on
 \n1st and 2nd of June 2009.\nThese courses will have lectures and hands on
  experience on the Terascale\ncomputer at HECToR.\nThese courses will be r
 un at\nLocation : Engineering Department \nLectures : LR3\nPracticals : DP
