DESCRIPTION:The presentation introduces and employs the concepts of transf
 er\, translation and trading in relation to a case study in Danish educati
 onal history: possible connections between the New Education Fellowship an
 d the Danish practice of examinations and school psychological testing fro
 m the 1920s till 1960. Besides the theoretical dimension of discussing nom
 enclature\, the presentation offers an investigation of the social and cul
 tural exchange of educational ideas between the Anglo-Saxon world and Scan
 dinavia in general and Denmark in particular. Moreover\, the presentation 
 argues for the positive gains of an international frame of interpretation 
 when dealing with national educational history.\n\n
