DESCRIPTION:It is a human instinct to want to move things forward and we o
 ften label this ‘progress’. Whether it is in science\, business\, the 
 economy or entertainment - this continued sense of improvement is a powerf
 ul motivator at a personal and societal level. However we are now seeing t
 hat we need to check the direction of where we are heading for our very su
 rvival on this planet. What does progress really mean\, is there a definin
 g definition? Each generation and culture often have quite different ideas
  about what it means. In this talk we will be examining the spiritual unde
 rstanding and perspective on this notion and instinct for progress.\n\nSar
 ah FitzGerald\, originally from Cambridge\, UK is a trained Interior Desig
 ner. She has worked at the Science Museum as well as at a number of design
  consultancies in London. She became interested in spirituality in 2009 wh
 en she took up language teaching in South East Asia. She discovered Raja Y
 oga with the Brahma Kumaris while in Cambodia and since then has returned 
 to Cambridge to continue her career in teaching and to deepen her understa
 nding of the ‘real interior design’.
