DESCRIPTION:The global magnetic fields of astrophysical and planetary bodi
es are shaped by the spherical geometry of these systems. In this talk\, I
will describe new algorithms for solving nearly arbitrary equations in sp
herical geometry using the Dedalus framework. Users specify equations in p
lain-text using vector notation. Each variable is represented in a spectra
lly-accurate series expansion of spin-weighted spherical harmonics in the
angular directions\, and radially-weighted Jacobi polynomials in the radia
l direction. Dedalus can solve equations in spherical shells\, as well as
full balls (extending to r=0). I will provide examples of how to use the c
ode\, as well as benchmark problems and speed comparisons to similar codes
 .
