DESCRIPTION:Disasters can lead to fatalities\, property destruction and en
 vironmental damage. While media and government agencies report these immed
 iate impacts of disasters\, uncertainty can exist regarding these direct c
 onsequences. Disasters also contribute to cascading impacts which can be e
 ven more uncertain and difficult to assess. This seminar will explore exis
 ting research that can help to develop a more holistic understanding of th
 e cascading impacts of disasters.
