DESCRIPTION:Given a pair of a compact Riemann surface C with marked points
 \, and a simple branched cover Sigma\, which trivializes over the marked p
 oint\, and some little additional structure called the spectral network\, 
 there exists an isomorphism from the moduli space of equivariant GL(1)-loc
 al systems on Sigma to the moduli space of "framed" flat SL(2) local syste
 ms on C\, called the Non-Abelianization map. I'll explain how this map com
 es from counting pseudo-holomorphic strips.
