DESCRIPTION:After reviewing some elements of symplectic topology\, I will 
 explain a few ways one can define metrics between so-called Lagrangian sub
 manifolds of a symplectic manifold. Even though these metrics differ great
 ly on a large scale\, I will demonstrate how one can relate them locally w
 hen additional contraints are present.
