DESCRIPTION:Since its inception in 1989\, the World Wide Web has undergone
  a tremendous evolution. This evolution is so extraordinary and multidimen
 sional that a new kind of Web has surfaced. Still in its infancy\, this ne
 w Web has reached a critical stage where it has become important to be abl
 e to distinguishing it from its predecessor\, hence the introduction of We
 b 2.0 buzzword as indicative of this new generation.\n \nWeb 2.0 is profou
 ndly changing our lives and will have far-reaching impacts on the societie
 s of the future. This impacts range from the way we learn\, interact\, do 
 business\, use our leisure time\, to the way we exercise our individual an
 d collective rights.\n\nThis talk describes some of the Web 2.0 enabling t
 echnologies\, paradigm shifts\, new concepts\, and some key services/produ
 cts. It depicts and briefly describes a number of buzzwords from the Web 2
 .0 sphere including Folksonomy\, AJAX\, Cloud-computing\, Micro-blogging\,
  and Mashups. It concludes by describing the meaning of Web 2.0 in differe
 nt contexts.\n\n
