DESCRIPTION:Humans are primates and part of the Great Ape family. We share
many aspects of our biology with them\, yet we are very different in many
other respects. I will explore human social\, cognitive and neurobiologic
al evolution (without mentioning tools even once....) in order to argue th
at the major traits that characterise us (language\, culture\, large socia
l groups\, smart cognition) can be understood as a part of a natural conti
 nuum within primate social biology.
