DESCRIPTION:We consider the kinetic Fokker-Planck equation with rough coef
 ficients\, which is a linear counterpart of the Landau equation and is for
 mally hypoelliptic of type II in Hörmander's terminology. Complementing t
 he equation with inflow or reflection boundary conditions in a bounded dom
 ain\, we will discuss the renormalization and regularization properties of
  the solutions up to the boundary.
