DESCRIPTION:Spectral sequences are a tool for calculating (co)homology. I 
 will start by describing the spectral sequence of a (finitely) filtered co
 mplex\, and will then apply this construction to give a description of a s
 pectral sequence of a 1st quadrant double complex. If time permits\, I wil
 l also discuss examples.
