  Or to us all? This one-day workshop will explore different kinds of think
 ing and knowledge – scientific and artistic\, theoretical and practical\
 , academic and everyday – about edible plants. Our big question will be:
  how can these different kinds of knowledge illuminate each other? Partici
 pants from a wide range of fields will share their own perspectives\, and 
 insights will emerge from both presentations and discussion to inform all 
 of our thinking for the future.\n\nWe hope that this will be the first of 
 a series of meetings\, involving both the same participants and others\, a
 llowing a continuing dialogue between people interested in food plants in 
 many different disciplines\, and continuing our exploration of the relatio
 nship(s) between them.
