DESCRIPTION:Drug discovery remains a very long and costly process with red
ucing attrition a major objective. We have shown previously that using hum
an genetics evidence may increase the chance of success in the clinic for
drug targets. In addition\, functional genomics technologies that can meas
ure or perturb the genome at scale can also be used to identify and valida
te new drug targets\, support patient stratification or understanding of m
echanism of action. In this talk\, using examples. I will describe how the
combination of large scale genetics and functional genomics data combined
with analytics is impacting drug discovery.
