DESCRIPTION:This talk explores how human interaction has musical qualities
 \, and how these qualities shapes sense-making and managing social uncerta
 inty. The focus is on rhythmic synchrony and prosody of body and voice as 
 collective action that moves and shapes information flow and transfer. Thi
 s research\, that includes kinesics and kinaesthetics\, is rooted in an in
 vestigation of how we transfer and acquire skill/tacit knowing whilst a) s
 haring the 'same physical space' compared to being in computer-mediated 'd
 istributed' space\; and b) when computer-based technology interfaces 'same
  physical space'. \nSatinder Gill is a Visiting Scholar with the Centre fo
 r Music and Science\, Faculty of Music\, University of Cambridge.
