DESCRIPTION:The Organic Electronic Ion Pump (OEIP) is an electrochemical d
 evice that rely on electrophoretic transport along micro/nanometer thin me
 mbranes and provide the delivery of small sized charged compounds at high 
 spatiotemporal resolution. The fundamental mechanism behind the OEIP opera
 tion will be presented along with device- and system aspects that impact c
 ritical performance parameters. The OEIP is a versatile device concept and
  it be shaped into various device configurations to enable an array of dif
 ferent applications ranging from OEIP tools for precise laboratory experim
 ents\, to suppression of neuropathic pain and combating cancer.
