DESCRIPTION:We shall discuss\, and prove in the very simplest case\, one o
 f the conjectures made in a previous joint paper with Fukaya\, Kato\, Suja
 tha\, and Venjakob about the dual Selmer group of elliptic curves over tho
 se p-adic Lie extensions of the base field F which contain the cyclotomic 
 Zp-extension of F. The results discussed are joint work with Sujatha.
