DESCRIPTION:I plan to explain Grothendieck's section conjecture\, which re
 lates rational points of (completions of) hyperbolic curves to conjugacy c
 lasses of sections of the canonical projection between fundamental groups.
  I will explain a few variants of this conjecture (birational\, p-adic)\, 
 and finally discuss the status of the art of the conjecture.
