DESCRIPTION:Mark Farmer\, CEO of Cast Consultancy\, was commissioned by th
 e UK Government in 2016 to conduct a review of the UK Construction Labour 
 Model. Using Mark’s extensive industry experience\, the review highlight
 ed the vulnerable position of the construction industry. It became clear t
 hat the industry needed to undergo a radical transformation and continuing
  to do things as they had always been done would not be enough to sustain 
 the sector. The review set out wide-ranging recommendations from greater u
 se of off-site techniques to improved planning and training processes. The
  report became known as the “Farmer Review” or via its subtitle “Mod
 ernise or Die”. Six years later\, Mark will discuss the progress that th
 e industry has made\, and what now needs to be completed to achieve effect
 ive change.
