DESCRIPTION:In this talk\, I will discuss how precisely a meso-scaled stoc
 hastic system can follow a pre-defined trajectory\, while keeping its diss
 ipation below a fixed limit. In the high-precision limit\, the total dissi
 pation is inversely proportional to the expected deviation from the pre-de
 fined trajectory. I will also discuss several general properties for the o
 ptimal protocol and show how it can be applied to bit-erasure and to elect
 ronic networks.
