DESCRIPTION:I will develop a concept of entanglement percolation for long-
distance singlet generation in quantum networks where neighbouring nodes a
re connected by partially entangled bipartite mixed states. I will give a
necessary and sufficient condition on the class of mixed network states fo
r the generation of singlets. I will discuss that neighbouring nodes are r
equired to be connected by multiple partially entangled states to achieve
entanglement percolation. Furthermore I will\ndevise a rich variety of dis
tillation protocols for the conversion of these mixed states into singlets
. Finally\, I will introduce possible further improvements achievable by u
sing quantum strategies including generalized forms of entanglement swappi
 ng.\n\n\n
