DESCRIPTION:Rivos\, named for RISC-V and Open Source\, was founded in May 
 2021 to bring RISC-V to Servers. In the presentation I will talk about the
  company\, how we are working with the RISC-V community and why full syste
 m design is important. Including comments on why Computer Architecture and
  Algorithm development is more important than ever.\n\nMark Hayter is Chie
 f Strategy Officer & Co-Founder of Rivos Inc. For the previous 11 years he
  was Senior Engineering Director in the Chrome OS Hardware team at Google.
  His team developed new technologies for Chromebooks\, produced reference 
 implementations and worked with OEMs to bring them to market. Prior to tha
 t he was involved in systems architecture at several semiconductor compani
 es\, being VP of Systems Engineering at P.A. Semi\, Inc. (acquired by Appl
 e Inc.)\, Senior Manager of Hardware Systems Engineering at Broadcom Corpo
 ration and System Architect at SiByte\, Inc. Earlier\, Hayter was at the D
 igital Equipment Corporation Systems Research Center. Hayter holds a PhD f
 rom the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory.
