SUMMARY:Taking Physics Forward with FASER - Prof Anna Sfyrla (University o
 f Geneva)

DESCRIPTION:The FASER experiment is a new\, small\, and inexpensive experi
ment that is being placed 480 meters downstream of the ATLAS experiment at
the CERN LHC. The experiment aims to shed light on currently unexplored p
henomena and has the potential to make revolutionary discoveries. FASER is
designed to capture decays of exotic particles produced in the very forwa
rd region\, beyond the ATLAS detector's acceptance\, as well as to detect
collider neutrinos for the first time and study their properties. This tal
k will present the detector design and operational experience with the Run
3 data-taking. It will focus on the first collision data results\, includ
ing the first direct observation of collider neutrinos. The talk will clos
e by discussing the physics prospects of the experiment for the rest of Ru
 n 3 and beyond.
