DESCRIPTION:The Flint Water Crisis is one of the most devastating Legionna
 ires’ disease outbreaks in U.S. history and led to 12 deaths due to expo
 sure to waterborne legionella and 91 confirmed cases of Legionnaires disea
 se (Roy and Edwards\, 2019). This seminar will explore the underlying caus
 es that contributed to the Flint Water Crisis\, the lessons learnt from ci
 tizen science initiatives to monitor the contamination of water supplies i
 n Flint\, and the long-term consequences that communities in Flint are sti
 ll experiencing in the aftermath of the Flint Water Crisis.
