DESCRIPTION:I will describe some rigidity results concerning the dynamics 
 of automorphisms of complex projective surfaces\, in particular when the s
 urface and the automorphisms are defined over a number field. The goal is 
 to illustrate how algebraic geometry\, dynamical systems\, and arithmetic 
 geometry interact.
