DESCRIPTION:Supersymmetric orbifold GUTs are well-motivated models for phy
 sics beyond the Standard Model. In this talk we will discuss their general
  structure and briefly review how they can be derived from heterotic strin
 g theory. We will show how to extract the resulting MSSM parameters\, focu
 ssing in particular on the MSSM Higgs sector. We will also present an anal
 ysis of the mass spectrum and phenomenology of an explicit example\, namel
 y\, a 5d orbifold model with gauge-Higgs unification.
