DESCRIPTION:For CMB polarization noise well below the lensing $B$-power\,
methods more powerful but more complex than quadratic estimators must be u
sed in order to achieve best recovery of the CMB lensing signal. This is p
articularly relevant for example for deep (CMB-S4 like) experiments aimed
at constraining the primordial gravitational wave background from inflatio
n\, or for tightest constraints on neutrino masses and other parameters fr
om the lensing spectrum. I will discuss the maximum a posteriori reconstru
ction method we have been developing in Geneva\, and its applications to '
somewhat realistic' CMB-S4 delensing and r-constraints\, as well as the es
timation of the lensing power spectrum in this regime. At CMB-S4 depth the
lensing post-Born curl mode becomes a signal\, and I'll discuss its optim
al internal joint reconstruction with the lensing gradient.
