DESCRIPTION:The need of the study and the characterization of aerosols in 
 different regions of the planet and in different periods of the year is ev
 ident because of the wide range of aerosol types and compositions\, sizes\
 , numerous sources\, large spatial and temporal variability\, as well as t
 heir important impacts on different fields (human health\, climate\, ecosy
 stems\, etc.)\n\nThree different aspects will be discussed\, focusing on t
 he characterization and the transport of atmospheric aerosol: 1) in the To
 ulouse (France) urban environment in the frame of the CAPITOUL (Canopy and
  Aerosol Particles Interaction in TOulouse Urban Layer) project and their 
 influence in neighbouring rural areas\; 2) originating from the burning of
  two types of biomass\, in the frame of two different processes: a forest 
 fire and cereal waste burning and 3) on a background EMEP (European Monito
 ring and Evaluation Programme) station located in Viznar (Grenade\, Spain)
 .\n
