DESCRIPTION:The oldest\, most metal-poor stars in the Milky Way are remnan
 ts from the early Universe and can teach us about the First Stars and earl
 y galaxy formation. I will summarise how these stars can be used and I wil
 l present recent results from the Pristine survey\, which is extremely eff
 icient at finding these stars in both the Galactic halo and in the inner G
 alaxy.
