DESCRIPTION:We will present recent and ongoing work on several research ef
 forts applying control theoretic tools to challenges in Synthetic Biology 
 and Evolutionary Biology. This will include the design and implementation 
 of feedback control circuits built with genetic components\; the developme
 nt of cybergenetic control systems that link robotic (in silico) component
 s with synthetic biological (in vivo) components\; and the development of 
 theory and experimental tools for real-time control and optimisation of ev
 olution. The presentation will touch on work developing biological experim
 ental techniques (primarily model organism bacteria)\, design and dissemin
 ation of hardware platforms (e.g. bioreactors) to enable implementation of
  novel control architectures\, and fundamental mathematics/data-driven met
 hodology to better learn from and understand dynamic biological systems.\n
