 cs is used in many fields of science. In air quality to describe the trans
 formation of primary pollutants into secondary pollutants. In combustion t
 o describe the degradation of fuels. When chemical kinetics data are obtai
 ned\, they are usually obtained with these specific applications in mind. 
 However\, new applications could be found\, and here I will present some e
 xamples in the field of astrophysics\, specifically in the study of (exo)p
 lanetary atmospheres. I will share results obtained recently from our 3D c
 oupled hydrodynamics-radiation-chemistry model\, the Met Office Unified Mo
 del\, adapted to simulate these environments within our Exeter Exoplanet T
 heory Group (EETG\, exoclimatology.com)\, a multi-disciplinary research gr
 oup focused on the study of (exo)planetary climates. I will show (1) how c
 ombustion chemical kinetics data are used to study the atmospheric composi
 tion of so-called hot Jupiters (Jupiter-size exoplanets orbiting very clos
 e to their host star)\, and (2) how Earth’s air quality chemical kinetic
 s data are used to model the atmospheres of terrestrial exoplanets\, hopef
 ully sparking interest in an interdisciplinary collaboration between atmos
 pheric chemists and astrophysicists.\n\n----------------------------------
