DESCRIPTION:An event to launch this report will be held at the IfM on Wedn
 esday 23 September.  \n\nThe aim of the report and the work leading up to 
 it has been to capture the latest thinking on developing industrial system
 s which are much less energy and resource intensive.  It recommends the mu
 ch wider adoption of current best practices and a move towards a much more
  comprehensive understanding of the structure\, operation and impact of in
 dustrial systems.\nThe report has been prepared by an international group 
 of academics with long experience of environmental and sustainability issu
 es and a history of close practical engagement with industry.\n\nThe launc
 h event will include:\n\n•	a brief overview of the aims and recommendati
 ons of the report\n\n•	contributions from academic and industrial collab
 orators\n\n•	the announcement of the new industry academic network aimed
  at dissemination and sharing of effective\, sustainable industrial practi
