 ic clusters of scatterers is studied in this work. The quality factor of t
 he resonances that appear when the resonators are placed regularly in the 
 perimeter of a circumference increases with the number of resonators. It w
 ill be shown that\, for flexural waves\, the limit when the number of scat
 terers tends to infinite defines a condition for the design of the so call
 ed bound states in the continuum (BICs)\, and an analytical expression for
  their design will be given. The analysis is not only valid for flexural w
 aves\, but for any kind of classic wave. Therefore\, an experimental desig
 n has been done in acoustics\, reporting the experimental demonstration of
  an acoustic BIC open resonator based on the coupling of polygonal arrange
 d holes in a two-dimensional waveguide. The proposed design allows for the
  scan of the acoustic field and the recovery of the shape of the mode and 
 the estimation of the quality factor from the decaying rate of the signal.
