DESCRIPTION:A presentation which considers briefly the reasoning around wh
y carbon emissions are used as a measure in sustainable development\, that
covers how emission scopes can help identify the boundaries of your respo
nsibility in reporting and a brief look at how the University of Cambridge
has reported on scope 1 and 2 emissions and estimated scope 3 in preparat
ion for broader reporting and target setting. \n\nHaving studied at UEA a
nd UCL and having worked in sustainability for the local council\, for the
NHS\, as a consultant (focussing mostly on the Middle East region) and fo
llowing this\, having taught geography to secondary and college students\,
I am now working in the University as the Carbon Manager. My current foc
us is on mapping the University’s scope 3 carbon emissions and engaging
across the University\, so we can prioritise areas to drive carbon reducti
 on. \n
