DESCRIPTION:Gas is now being detected in extrasolar systems during the deb
 ris disc stage\, which was an unexpected discovery. In this presentation\,
  I will discuss the observed gas species and their spatial distribution re
 lative to planetesimal belts. I will also present the latest models aimed 
 at explaining the origin and evolution of the gas and its impact on the ov
 erall planetary system\, including the potential effects on planet atmosph
 eres. Lastly\, I will share insights into the future prospects of this eme
 rging field and offer thoughts on what can be anticipated in future resear
 ch.
