 n\nAbstract: The DGLAP equations describe how parton distribution function
 s evolve between different energy scales. In this talk\, I will discuss ho
 w potential effects of New Physics\, parametrised in terms of higher dimen
 sional operators in the Standard Model Effective Field Theory\, could affe
 ct these equations. We assess the importance of these operators in the cal
 culation of the splitting functions\, and their potential effects on the r
 unning of the strong coupling.
