DESCRIPTION:Join us on 5th May for a special seminar. No registration is n
ecessary and address details can be found below.\n\nSpeaker:\nSun Kim\, Pr
esident of Mogam Institute of Biomedical Research and Professor\, Seoul Na
tional University\n\nTopic:\nExploring chemical\, genetic and disease spac
 e with AI technologies\n\nAbstract:\nIn this talk\, I will discuss about h
ow AI and deep learning technologies can be used for predicting drug respo
 nse\, toxicity\, and repositioning. Before getting into details\, I will b
riefly talk about essential concepts\, such as embedding or representation
s\, distance and distributions\, that are frequently used for constructing
AI models. Then\, in part 2 of my talk\, I will discuss our recent work o
n how drug repositioning can be inferred from knowledge graphs that consis
t of drug\, gene\, and disease. Part 3 of my talk will focus on the gene l
evel modeling\, specifically how AI technologies can be used for modeling
drug response\, toxicity\, and disease subtypes using transcriptome and mu
lti-omics data. If time permits\, I will discuss our works on analyzing ti
 me-series transcriptome data.\n\nLocation: Lecture Theatre\, Jeffrey Cheah
  Biomedical Centre\, Puddicombe Way\, Cambridge CB2 0AW
LOCATION: Jeffrey Cheah Biomedical Centre Lecture Theatre
