 ethods vary across disciplines. In fluid mechanics\, extracting insights f
 rom big data has gained enthusiasm (e.g. AI-driven research)\, but obtaini
 ng authentic and reliable data remains a challenge. This talk provides a g
 limpse into experimental methods for those interested in experimental flui
 d mechanics\, specifically focusing on stratified mixing experiments in a 
 stratified inclined duct (SID). It explores the processes\, challenges\, a
 nd specific aspects of the measurement system at the G.K. Batchelor Labora
 tory. Additionally\, a concise exploration will be presented on the extrac
 tion of the mixing geometry from experimental data.
