DESCRIPTION:For companies and engineers involved in the production of elec
 tronic equipment\, the last two years will be memorable for the challengin
 g environment with supply chains\, most significantly the chip supply cris
 is. In 2022 this was global news\, and the effects were felt across a rang
 e of industries. This talk is the story of a small/medium sized engineerin
 g company supplying electronics to the industrial inkjet market\, and how 
 it navigated the shortage of vital devices needed to keep the wheels of in
 dustry turning. In addition to the engineering challenges faced to work ar
 ound the availability of parts\, the talk will cover what industrial inkje
 t is\, and the established and emerging applications of the technology.\n\
 nDavid Horne is Vice President of Engineering at Meteor Inkjet Ltd based i
 n Harston\, Cambridge. David has a wealth of experience developing electro
 nic and electro-mechanical products across a range of industries including
  industrial\, medical\, and aerospace. He is responsible for Meteor’s dr
 ive electronics solutions\, leading the company’s development of high-qu
 ality products that meet customer’s needs. Prior to Meteor\, David worke
 d as an engineering consultant for TTP and as an electronics design engine
 er at GE Aviation Systems. He has a master’s degree (MEng) in Electrical
  and Electronic Engineering from Nottingham University and is a Chartered 
 Engineer and member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.\n\n
