 y_*. Written with a life-time's worth of experience\, this is a thoughtful
  and good-humoured attempt to analyse and to bridge the divisions within t
 he modern Church.\n\nBorn in 1922\, John Fitch read History and\nTheology 
 at Corpus Christi College\, Cambridge.\nAfter preparing for ordination at 
 Wells\nTheological College in Somerset\, he served for\nforty years in var
 ious Suffolk parishes\, retiring\nin 1987. He was appointed Canon of St\nE
 dmundsbury in 1975 and was co-founder of\nthe Suffolk Historic Churches Tr
 ust.\n\nFollowing the talk the author will be available to sign copies of
