DESCRIPTION:This second of two lectures by Egyptian Artist\, Nazli Madkour
 \, this presentation relates the involvement and contribution of Egyptian 
 women to the arts of Egypt. It starts with a historical background from th
 e times of the pharaohs to modern times with a special emphasis on the mur
 al art of Nubian women. The beginnings of Modern art in Egypt in the early
  20th century and the special place of women in it is then recounted.\nThi
 s is followed by a selection of successive generations of women artists un
 til present day\, looking at their works and their position in contemporar
