 \n\nAbstract:\n\nComputer-generated holography has been growing in popular
 ity in recent years\, mainly due to the rise in augmented and virtual real
 ity (AR and VR). It delivers full 3D virtual images with true depth cues a
 nd shows significant promise in revolutionizing the display sector. There 
 have been. However\, numerous barriers preventing it from being adopted by
  the mass market from narrow field of view\, poorer image quality when com
 pared to stereoscopic alternatives\, and form factor. \nThese have slowed 
 the uptake of this technology but for how long?\n\nSpeakers bio:\n\nMiguel
  de Vasconcelos El Guendy has recently submitted his PhD thesis at the Uni
 versity of Cambridge\, where he specialized in the use of holographic disp
 lays in augmented reality (AR). Miguel also holds an MRes degree in Photon
 ic Engineering from the University of Cambridge and prior to that was a se
 nior engineer at Qualcomm in the research and development of novel IoT pro
 cessing units.\n
